Assemblage Consulting was founded by Erik in 2021 as a small, nimble consulting firm specializing in geospatial analytics, research, data visualization, and full stack application development for public, nonprofit, and advocacy-oriented organizations wishing to turn data into action.  The company’s mission is to facilitate the gathering of people, data, and technology in a way that moves the needle toward greater equity, inclusivity, and transparency in the various decision-making processes that impact our local and global communities.  Clients include the Atlanta Regional Commission, Neighborhood Nexus, Enterprise Community Partners, Montgomery County Planning Department, Brink Media, and Bloomberg Associates.

Prior to founding Assemblage Consulting, Erik was the Research and Application Development Coordinator for the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and Lead Application Developer for Neighborhood Nexus. He holds a Masters in Geography (Research Methods) from University of Durham in England and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He began building full stack web applications in 2018 and has since overseen the development of several widely used and highly visible mapping and data visualization tools, including the DataNexus and Atlanta Region Eviction Tracker.  His areas of analysis and research include housing affordability, gentrification and neighborhood change, public health, and economic polarization.
