Part-time Consultant: Equity Driven Intervention on Asthma and Early Learning

Urban Strategies Council seeks a part-time consultant for a project piloting an intervention on the impact of asthma on early learning in Fresno County.  The intervention process will be guided by the Council’s data-driven Equity Model.  The part-time consultant would be responsible for assisting with partner relationship building and interactions, pilot design, materials development, and pilot implementation.  Travel to Fresno would be required.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The following involvement is required:

Communicate with partners in Fresno County to develop plans for joint efforts
Design pilot based on the steps of the Council’s Equity Model
Develop materials for implementing Equity Model in pilot
Manage implementation of pilot, including travel to Fresno
Complete grant report with summary of pilot and outcomes

Required Qualifications:

Experience designing and implementing education or health interventions
Excellent writing and speaking skills
Ability to interpret and present data
Masters or equivalent experience

Beneficial Experience:

Background in education, particularly elementary
Background in community outreach and engagement
Ability to analyze data
Experience in curriculum development or training
Bilingual – especially Spanish
Background working on issues of social justice, equity, and/or disparities, particularly education and/or health disparities

Timeline:    6-12 months

Compensation:   $25-40/hour based on experience
