Neighborhood Data for Social Change   (Los Angeles)

This is a presentation for the Ignite session, Part I at the NNIP Fall 2017 partners meeting

In addition to empowering Los Angeles neighborhoods with the data needed to advocate for their communities, the USC Price Center for Social Innovation produces an ongoing series of data stories focused on a range of geographies and policy topics.  Pairing precise data with rich narrative, beautiful photos, and interactive maps and visualizations, our data stories reveal the trends, challenges and opportunities facing Los Angeles communities, giving readers an opportunity to learn more about the issues confronting our region. This ignite presentation will preview one of these data stories, which explores the high rates of rent burdened residents living in Los Angeles communities.
