Neighborhood Data for Social Change   (Los Angeles)

The USC Price Center for Social Innovation has spent the last four years working with a
variety of local stakeholders to develop a common platform for sharing neighborhoodlevel
data across the greater Los Angeles region. These planning efforts have resulted in
the development of the Price Center’s new Neighborhood Data for Social Change
platform, a user-friendly online data resource that allows nonprofit organizations,
advocacy groups, and government agencies to access reliable, aggregated data at
the census-tract level. This talk will provide an introduction to the features of the new
Neighborhood Data for Social Change platform, its capacity to support other programs
and activities in the community and at the Price Center, and ultimately, how this work
will advance our mission to develop ideas and illuminate strategies to improve the
quality of life for people in low-income, urban communities.
