IMS is hosting NNIP meeting in Portland

The Institute of Portland Metropolitan Studies at Portland State University will host the NNIP meeting in Portland February 29 - March 2. Portland will highlight its history of regional governance and help NNIP members consider the benefits of using neighborhood data to inform regional decision making. The regional session will include a panel of regional thought leaders, including Ethan Seltzer, Professor of Urban Studies and Planning at Portland State University; Rex Burkholder, Metro Councilor District 5; and Denny Doyle, Mayor of Beaverton. Holly St. Clair Director of Data Services for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in Boston will begin the panel with a review of regional efforts of existing NNIP members. Following the panel, IMS will host a tour that highlights changes in Portland's approach to urban redevelopment. As one of its newest members, IMS is proud to host NNIP at Portland State University.
