NNIP Camp October 2015: Session 1

Un-conferences are  participant driven self-organized conferences in contrast to tightly planned and top-down scheduled events. Foocamp, BarCamp, or CityCamp are some examples of un-conferences (see Wikipedia entry).   They are ad-hoc events driven by the participants and their desire to share and learn through open discussion, demonstration and participation.

"NNIPCamp" was a series of concurrent sessions co-created by meeting participants. The purpose was to bring together a critical mass of people who are passionate about a particular topic and allow the creative juices to flow.

Pegasus 1: NNIP & New Partners (Kathy Pettit) - Help us figure out how to welcome new staff to NNIP.

Pegasus 2: PUMS (Rob Pitingolo) learn about PUMS and how to use this dataset.

Jackson: 2016 Election & NNIP Partners (Leah Hendey) - aggregating data by voting precincts to match with 2016 election results.

Griffin: Open(ing) Data (Brian Karfunkel) - how do different partners work with different stakeholders to aquire and store data.
