Research Specialist

    The Research Specialist position at the University Center for Social and Urban Research is a research, full-time position responsible for working in data management, data integration, data analysis and outreach efforts in applied research projects on community data and neighborhood indicator systems. The individual will work under the Director of the Urban and Regional Analysis program.  The Data Analyst will have expertise with GIS, community indicators, neighborhood-level data sources, and data analysis tools.  S/he will also have or share primary responsibility for ongoing data projects, including the Southwestern Pennsylvania Community Indicators Profile and the Pittsburgh Neighborhood and Community Information System, along with current project Pittsburgh Pilot Evaluation.  The Data Analyst will provide research and technical assistance on funded research projects and assist in proposal and final report preparation.
