The Regional Data Center (RDC) at the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Social and Urban Research is being created to support regional initiatives through the provision of timely and useful information and related services. The RDC will be home to the Pittsburgh region’s open data portal, and will begin to host datasets from various governments, public authorities, university research projects, along with information from non-profit and community organizations.

The Research Development Manager will establish, support, and expand the capacity ofUCSUR and the Regional Data Center to collect, manage, analyze, and disseminate archival, sensor and spatial data of interest to faculty, students, and regional stakeholders committed to data driven policy decision making. The Research Development Manager should also have a passion for empirical research, and solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
