Socioeconomic Analyst

Brandon Stanaway joined MAPC in 2022 as a Socioeconomic Analyst I. As part of the Research Division of the Data Services department, he supports the development of population, housing, and economic projections for the region and the application of these projections to a variety of planning, regulatory, and policy activities within the MAPC region and beyond.

Before joining MAPC, Brandon worked for the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) as a Research Assistant. There, he helped develop programs to collect, cross-validate and compile a comprehensive list of all business establishments in Boston. He was also responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and interpreting trends and changes to Boston-level economic and demographic data. He also works on projects with Dr. Alejandro Trelles, focusing on understanding how Mexican political parties engage with the electoral redistricting process.

Mr. Stanaway is a graduate of Brandeis University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History as well as a Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance with a focus in Data Analytics/Econometrics.
