Integrated data systems (IDS) link individual-level records from multiple government agencies on a periodic basis. These systems can be used for policy analysis, program planning, and evaluation. Six partners in the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) worked to expand access to information from IDS in their own communities and strengthened the relationships between NNIP partners and agencies hosting IDS. The NNIP partners in Baltimore, Cleveland, New York City, Pinellas County, Pittsburgh, and Providence improved program planning and monitoring on a range of local policy issues and demonstrated the influence of place on residents and the need for place-conscious programs and policies.
