COVID-19 and Layoffs in NC: Year-End Summary

The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act protects workers by requiring employers to provide advance notice of a business closing or of mass layoffs. Since mid-March, DataWorks NC has been tracking these reported layoffs and closings and have summarized the data for 2020.
