The Institute for Urban Policy Research serves as the research partner for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas' United 2020 initiatiave. United 2020 established broad, community-wide goals in the areas of Income, Health, and Education for North Texas, and IUPR provides year to year assessments to track change and inform grantmaking priorities.

Using an in-depth analysis of a variety of education data, this baseline study finds that in 2010 roughly 54% of the region's public and charter school graduates graduated college-ready by state standards. Significant geographic and demographic variation was observed.
