April 2020

University of Missouri-Kansas City’s (UMKC) Center for Neighborhoods, a collaborator with the NNIP partner Center for Economic Information, has launched a new initiative called Social Connecting/Physical Distancing.  Center for Neighborhoods staff are holding on-line workshops for volunteer neighborhood leaders with university expertise on disaster recovery efforts and the use of tech to overcome social isolation. It also includes a survey to identify core issues for neighborhood leadership and governance during this crisis. This initiative is coordinating with city departments and public officials.
