Miami-Dade County’s Quality Counts Program Participates in National Study

Quality Counts, Miami-Dade County’s quality rating improvement system (QRIS) for early care and education programs, is participating in two in-depth studies of state and local QRIS conducted by the Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) in the Administration for Children and Families, US Dept of Health and Human Services.  The studies, led by Mathematica Policy Research and Child Trends, focus on 1) quality measurement in QRIS, which includes secondary data analysis of existing, and 2) examination of the role of QRIS in the development of an integrated early care and education system.
