CRI and the 2010 Census Redistricting data files and briefs

Community Data & Research Lab at the Johnson Center   (Grand Rapids)

May 2011

On March 22, the U.S. Census Bureau released the 2010 redistricting data numbers for Michigan. The data includes summaries of population totals, race and Hispanic origin, housing totals and vacancies for multiple geographies within the state. As part of our core mission to increase and facilitate timely access to federal, state and local data, CRI produced 2010 redistricting data reports for all Grand Rapids and the City of Muskegon neighborhoods as well for cities, villages, townships and counties throughout Michigan.  The reports also provide 1990 and 2000 numbers.  CRI also produced the first of a series of Census related data briefs planned for this summer. CRI also received several inquiries from local media on population changes and trends in West Michigan.
