Leah Hendey, Mark Abraham, Bob Gradeck, Jim Lucht

Drawing from the experiences of several partner organizations in the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP), this session will focus on how neighborhood data can be used to inform strategic decision-making, reimagine and rebuild distressed neighborhoods in Detroit, New Haven, Pittsburgh, and Providence. Comments will address what types of neighborhood data are most useful for this purpose, give specific examples of how data has been used locally to assist in neighborhood planning and redevelopment, and what the success and challenges have been in getting local agencies to engage in data-driven strategic planning.
