Established by voter referendum in 2002, The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue derived from property taxes, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
Our mission is to partner with the community to plan, advocate for and fund strategic investments that improve the lives of all children and families in Miami-Dade County. Our goal is to help foster a community that works together to provide the essential foundations that enable children and youth to achieve their full potential.
Program evaluation helps The Trust understand and strengthen the performance of funded programs. Community research contributes context and understanding of factors related to children’s wellbeing across Miami-Dade County’s diverse neighborhoods, from their strengths and assets to their challenges and needs. As a steward of public dollars, it is critical that The Trust regularly reflects on and learns from investments through continuous learning and quality improvement. The Children’s Trust’s success depends on the success of its funded providers.
