The 'Moving Beyond the Gap' project is a LISC/CURA collaboration which attempts to quantify gaps in disparity indicators, thereby illuminating both the strengths and weaknesses of the Building Sustainable Communities neighborhoods in the Twin Cities area.  They have produced reports comparing four neighborhoods to Minneapolis and the Region along a series of economic and community health indicators. It illustrates the degree to which closing the gap between whites and African Americans in North Minneapolis would contribute to narrowing  disparities within the city as a whole.
