The Data Initiative hosted an educational workshop to support community partners to learn the skills to help them make data-driven decisions. This pdf is a summary of the workshop Mingming recently led.  Below is a brief description of the workshop.

Data is critical to understanding our world. With Community Facts, a digital data tool created by The Piton Foundation’s Data Initiative that provides free, neighborhood-level information for the seven-county Denver metro region, you can transform information into insight.

Workshop attendees had the opportunity to:

  • Learn data basics, including building data literacy and skills.
  • Learn how to maximize all of Community Facts' features.
  • Develop a data strategy for their work.
