International Open Data Day

Saturday, December 3 is International Open Data Day. Open Data Day is an event where citizens, designers, developers, librarians, and statisticians gather in cities around the world to create applications, visualizations, and analyses to showcase the value and power of open government data. One of the major goals of the events is to encourage more governments to embrace open data.
Projects germinated by past Open Data Day events include Open Spending, MapIt, and Open311 API.
NNIP cities with Open Data Day events include Chattanooga, Denver, New York City, Oakland/San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC.
