Neighborhood Tour of Mariposa District and Reception at Piton

October 22, 2014 -
4:30pm to 8:00pm
Lynne Picard, Denver Housing Authority, Director, Workforce Development & Community Initiatives

The Denver Housing Authority will provie an overview of the redevelopment of previous public housing into a vibrant transit oriented mixed use, mixed income community. We will learn about the phases of completed work, and the additional phases still to be completed. The work has been recognized by the EPA, receiving the 2012 National Award for Smart Growth Achievement.

The Denver neighborhood tour will have departures from both the Oxford Hotel and Residence Inn. We will have guides walking people from the hotels to the RTD light rail stations. You should have received two passes for the light rail with your name tag, if you do not have them, please find an Urban Institute or Piton Foundation staff member, and let them know. There will be guides taking you from the hotel to the destination and to help you with validating your ticket (see picture below).
