WEB DEVELOPMENT- ANALYST/PROGRAMMER

Are you passionate about using your programming and web development skills in ways that help make cities and neighborhoods better? Come to Cleveland!  The Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development, a small research group at Case Western Reserve University, uses data and research to aid organizations and institutions in Cleveland and throughout Cuyahoga County in improving programs and policies that aid its most vulnerable residents. Part of that work includes making information available to community stakeholders through web-based platforms, and we’re hiring someone to assist us with this mission. You would be working on our Neighborhood Stabilization Team Web Application, highly regarded as a national model, our neighborhood-level data system, NEO CANDO, and other projects.

We are looking for someone who:
Has experience building effective data systems, carefully considers system structure
Has experience with web development and ideally building web-based data systems
Appreciates the mission of the Poverty Center and has an interest in open data
Can work with consultants and others to aid in development as need
