NNIP Camp 2021: Countering bias against homegrown analysis

Most of us have at some point experienced being passed over for analysis work in favor of a national or out-of-town organization because so many people have a bias that work that comes from another city must be better than "homegrown" work, even though non-local orgs don't know our communities or our local data. If you've encountered this bias, what did/do you do to counter it? Has anything worked better than anything else? This was part of session 4 at NNIP Camp in 2021 .
