Dr. Cook has 15 years of experience in health and human services research and evaluation, with primary focus on convening diverse stakeholders and leading the group to consensus.  Throughout her career she has focused on relationship building with customers and key stakeholders – consumers, partners, funders and other interested parties – to increase clarity and common understanding of the issue(s) addressed and the solution(s) created. 

Some of her accomplishments to date include facilitating a statewide Planning Council charged with completing Ohio’s first public health assessment (SHA) which led to a request for her to lead the Council in developing Ohio’s first public health improvement plan (SHIP), leading the first-ever regional census of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in central Ohio, convening United Way of Central Ohio service providers in education, health, workforce, and neighborhood development to identify common outcomes across content area, and chairing the only federally recognized Institutional Review Board at a state agency in Ohio.
