Susan Millea, Ph.D.

Dr. Susan Millea has an extensive background in health, mental health, education and social service delivery, with a focus on quality improvement.  She is a recipient of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence’s International Award for Applied Artificial Intelligence. Following several years as a community based direct service provider, which has informed her technology-based work, Dr. Millea has over 20 years’ experience in health and human service information system design and implementation. She currently serves as a Population Health and Community Systems Analyst for Children’s Optimal Health in Austin, Texas. COH is a small non-profit organization and an NNIP parther. Dr. Millea is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association and has completed a post-doctoral certificate in the Biomedical Informatics at Oregon Health Science University.  Her interests extend to the implementation of health IT for underserved populations including those in urban, suburban and rural communities.
