Assistant Director

Norma Garza is Assistant Director or CI:Now, with primary responsibility over operational system improvements and quantitative projects with a focus on health, quality improvement, and community indicators. She earned a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health and a certificate in Applied Health Informatics from the UTHSCH-School of Biomedical Informatics, and earned her DrPH at the UT School of Public Health, focusing on community health practice. Prior to working with CI:Now, Norma worked as a program coordinator for UTHSCSA Med Ed program and as a research assistant for the McAllen Asthma Coalition. Her research interests include disease management, information systems, program evaluation, and integrated health care delivery systems performance.
