Lisa Pittman joined The Children's Trust in 2007 where she oversees all community-level research, evaluation and needs assessment. She brought to The Trust special expertise in program and systems evaluation, outcomes measurement, and public policy analysis. Current and recent projects include research and data support for Miami-Dade's quality rating improvement system for early care and education programs; community indicators of child well-being; aligning program performance measures with community indicators using results-based accountability; parent and youth surveys.
During her years in the workforce, Lisa has enjoyed a variety of work and life experiences including: non-profit sector evaluator, business-education partnership consultant, university professor, regional economic development director, federal economist and Peace Corps volunteer. She is a passionate advocate on behalf of all children, especially those living in foster care.
Lisa earned her Ph.D. in Economics from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and undergraduate degrees in Economics from California State University (Sacramento), and in International Relations from the University of South Florida (Tampa).
