Petersen Research Consultants, LLC is led by Dr. Jodi Petersen. Jodi holds a doctorate degree in Ecological-Community Psychology from Michigan State University and focuses on helping organizations define, gather, and use data to increase their impact. She is passionate about social justice and equity. She has expertise in systems change, facilitation, qualitative and quantitative data, and participatory research/evaluation methods.

 

Jodi's job is to help nonprofits get the information they need to make informed decisions and increase their impact. She aims to do this without creating undue burden and while also building capacity and encouraging the empowerment of all stakeholders. She works with nonprofits who want a true partner and who truly desire to improve the lives of individuals and communities through their work.

 

Jodi is uniquely qualified to partner with DABSJ on this work.  In addition to her community data and evaluation experience, Jodi has extensive experience working with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.  She has worked as a consultant for over ten years with juvenile courts to develop and train on risk assessment measures for both general and sex-specific offending.  Jodi also works as research associate for a leadership development organization, assisting with organization assessments, 360 degree individual assessments, and developmental goal planning.
